Tennis Academy Elite

Congratulations to the former player of our academy for incredible ending of the season at the Masters 1000 in Paris! After successful qualifications, Filip has defeated some of the top ATP players, one by one. On the way to the big finals, he beat Sugita (# 40 on the ATP ranking list), then Querrey (# 13!), Mahut (# 102), Nadal (withdrew # 1) before reaching an amazing and extremely exciting semifinal match, where he was better than John Isner (# 17)! Although Filip lacked a little freshness after a long season and mentally and phisically demanding tournament (he also played two rounds of qualifications), he gave excellent resistance to the 9th player of the world, Jack Sock, by winning the first set, after which, however, Sock who was visiby fresher reversed the match in his favor.

We believe this is just the beginning of the great career that is ahead of Filip, the new #33 in the world, which he certainly deserves. As in previous years, we look forward to his return to our academy during the preparation period for the clay season in 2018!
